This sound was recorded on the breakwater of gandia's beach. We can hear the movement of the waves of the sea crashing with the rocks andsome motorboats, sailboats and boats.

There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it. The sound was recorded by holding the microphone in my hand while i dived knee-deep into the water and walk, filming the crashing of the waves (also on my legs). High-frequency sound details (the foam of the sea, the impact of waves on each other, etc. ) are much more audible here. Medium sized waves recorded sitting on a groyn (no giggling - that's the name given for a construction of wood or rock going out perpendicular to the coast to avoid erosion or longshoredrift)from whence i could get the gurgling of the water as well as the crashing of the small waves and the sucking and pulling of the stones. Recorded on a minidisk with an sm58 from what i recall.

The beach at aldeburgh is made of pebbles so you can hear little of that as i walk around. You can the crashing of the waves against the pebbles and that fizzing noise as the sound dies down and the water recedes from the beach. This was recorded using a zoom h2n in 16-bit. Wav format.

I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

Some noise made to sound like the noise generators used in analog drum synthesizers for things like cymbals. Made with helm, 4 comb filters, and a high-pass filter. Helm to generate square wave dissonance, comb filters to add stereo and more "structured noise" quality, and high pass filter to hide the lower overtones.

From 1:00-2:00in the sky a long way behind me and to the left, but somewhat far in the air, a group of birds are fighting above a large group of trees that are shaped like a ball of veins. Most of the birds are crows, or just black birds; each noise they make is a series of “caws” no different from each other in pitch, tone, or frequency. There's also the sound of 3 small birds directly to my right around 5 meters away from me, making loud but shrill chirping sounds. The birds are each the same size but and are hopping around the perimeter of a cactus right behind them. The wind blows onto the right side of my body and the front of my body. Waves from the ocean are crashing directly behind me, each in long sessions. The way they sound is consistent, like the sound of rain. Occasionally one of the waves will crash, increasing in volume but not in pitch or tone.

Bowling alley- the thing with recording a bowling alley is that the pins are so far away. When you’re the one bowling, you’re not really listening to all the chatter around you; in fact your brain does its best to cancel it out (it’s called selective listening, google it), and so you really hear the clamoring of the pins as they crash and fall. Microphones don’t have any such ability; they just take in whatever sound waves reach them, and they don’t care either way about the relative loudness of those sound waves. So what happens in a recording like this is that even though it sounds like any ordinary (busy) bowling alley, the pins sound really far away in relation to the human chatter.
